Dinner at The Pacific Regency Hotel KL

I haven't been blogging on this blog for a while now. The wait for picture uploading is like hell, and sometimes, I just haven't got the time. But I promise, I will find any possible time for me to keep this blog alive and fill with it with my days and my love :)

But anyways, pictures I upload today is from Thursday night (24th February 2011) when my bestie, Grace and I went for dinner. You see, I got a RM50 voucher to use from my mum for any of the F&B outlets at the Pacific Regency Hotel in KL. It was really worth it all :)

I actually had a schedule on what time to get there, as I made a reservation with the restaurant. Left college at 7pm, but got stuck in this massive traffic jam to KL. I mean, who goes to KL at the peak hour on a weekday? Senseless people.. But anyways, we got stuck in that jam for almost an hour and it was no joke. Very tiring for the driver :p which was me.. lol

We arrived at the hotel about 8.20pm, parked the car, then went to the restaurant straight as we were starving. The restaurant was.. Soi 23 :) A thai cuisine served at its best and at a 5 star service. Something which I actually honestly didn't expect, the restaurant was half empty and the lights were dimmed like a lounge with romantic lighting and stuff.. lol I seriously didn't plan and expect that.

So yeah, thai was for dinner, for two :) Grace actually enjoyed it, I was like, 'phew' thank God ;)

These pictures were taken from the rooftop of the hotel. The 33rd floor, above the bar. The Luna bar, which was by the swimming pool, was awesome! So dark, pleasant, eye-magnificent and 'romantic'? erm.. yeah. But moving on... We went up to enjoy the view, which was part of the tour around the hotel. I mean, it's a hotel, better to not waste the opportunity of taking advantage of the stay.

So I end this blog post with a bit more pictures of the Luna bar and the swimming pool, and also the view from there. If you do have the chance and the extra money to spend for your date, or if you girls think your guy is up for the challenge, go to the Pacific Regency hotel suites. HAPPY NEW YEAR peeps!

It's 2011! It's amazing how the months and years pass so fast which makes it difficult to hold and grab the moments for long. It's already been 1 week after New Year's and time is still not slowing down.

2010 WAS amazing and I guess now's the time to make way for better things AND bad things to happen in 2011. All the best to everyone and I hope all our achievements may be accomplished in every way. :)

My New Chair from IKEA!

Got a new desk chair from IKEA. My old one (camo) has the top falling off if I lean on it. So... Got a black one which is better and sinks right in :) comfy too! I DIY-ed it in 20 minutes I think, which is quite slow because of the screws.. Would've taken photos of the process but I was too stressed over the screws. haha

Just would like to share photos of my recent car accident I was involved with, yesterday... :(

My car's condition? Bumper is broken, tire alignment is out, radiator leaking and right side headlamp is broken. Total cost of repairs excluding the car that hit me? RM2,300

I just got my blm club sticker from Motorsport Playground in Bandar Sunway. Looks cool! Finally a member of a car club, will be joining them in club activities, roadshows, convoys and more :) Why number 414? Don't know actually. It just had a nice 'ring' to it! 'THE 414!'

It's been almost 3 months since I got my car and after doing some touch ups, this is what it looks like at night. Why lights? Well.. It was the cheapest way for me to start off to make my car look different, well, only at night. Next to save on (probably next year) is a bodykit.

My New M-Audio USB Interface

Finally, the day I've been waiting for! Been saving loads for this! I finally bought the new M-Audio Fast Track USB interface for my recording needs after selling the old Fast Track.

This one, bought for RM523, can record the songs I want and comes with a free software called Pro Tools M-Audio Powered Essential. The only thing that's missing is the studio monitor speakers that I need, or either that, I'd get the Audio Technica studio recording earphones as the earphones I have can't be connected to my interface.

Small and compact, I placed it on my laptop's left side where I can easily hook up to the usb port on the left.

I know it's quite little and nothing much, but it's better than nothing! At least I can still record with clear and good quality.

Bought it using my savings on sunday (15th August) also with the help of my dad who brought me to the right shop. Priced at RM1,999 and got it at the best price of RM1,989 which includes free gifts and accessories such as a LED lighted wired mouse, a mouse pad, a laptop bag, a cooling fan pad, a 4 plug in usb, a cleaning kit, a keyboard protector and a laptop security lock.

This beauty, my new friend. Comes with Windows 7, a built in 2.0 megapixel webcam, bluetooth, wifi, and loads more! Now my blogging is easier with highest speed and just 'plug in and play' with my camera.

Music is so much cooler with I Tunes which I installed myself. The design of Windows 7 makes my laptop even cooler! I can even customize the design myself! :)

But now, my responsibility is even bigger as I have to take care of this baby, and also my car. This is what I call, 2010!

It was an awesome yet sad night as SIC's Parish Priest has to step down as Parish Priest to teach in the CDD house.

For the entertainment of the night during dinner time, me, Karen & Alan (we named our trio, The Midnight Revolution) performed to keep the hall (Damansara Palace Restaurant) filled with acoustic plus funky and upbeat songs.

Our first song was Your Guardian Angel with me on vocals, Karen on backup and rhythm guitar and Alan on background guitar. Second was Honey Bee with Karen on lead vocals, me on the mic harmonizing and Alan on the acoustic drums. Our third song of the night was a bit more upbeat with A Lonely September with me on lead vocals, Karen on rhythm guitar and Alan on the acoustic drums again. Next was a bit slower, Imagine in duet style with me and Alan on guitar plus vocals and Karen on rhythm guitar. Our last song was more upbeat with Knocks You Down. I played as lead guitarist and vocals, Karen as rhythm guitarist and vocals as well and Alan played the acoustic drums while rapping.

It was an awesome night and we had dinner after that. I loved the sound system, everything worked quite well thanks to Aaron and the rest.

The night continued with several items and farewells by various sections of the church including slideshows and videos. The Altar Servers group performed as well with a few songs. Last of all, Alan and his friends (forgot their band name, Alan and the Sweet GBD's I think...) rocked the last hour with various songs played rock hard! It was cool!

No videos or pics for that part because unfortunately, my camera ran out of battery power...

It's been quite a while since my last post here. I've bee terribly busy for the past few weeks. College and work is getting caught up in me that I hardly have time to do any of my hobbies and I'm hardly at home. Today's one of the days of the week where I'm out of the house for the whole day. I'll be out till 11 something depending what time my rehearsals finishes... Oh, did I mention that I got a job in stage managing for a production in KL Pac? Directed by Kelvin Wong, the production's called After Juliet and will show in Mid-July. Don't hesitate to ask me for tickets :)

So juggling between my job and college life, it's been quite rough on me lately. Stressed over unfinished assignments and loads of work for the production, I can hardly think of anything but college and the production. I can't wait till after July, then I'll at least get to relax a bit before my final term exams in August. Mid terms is in June and I hope I'll be able to get ready.

Rehearsals and practices fall on every tue and thu 7-10pm and saturday and sunday 10-1pm. So it's quite hard for me because I have choir practices every tue and thu from 5-6.30pm so it's impossible for me to make it to KL Pac by 7pm. For mass, I can't go on a sunday therefore only able to go every saturday evening and also would unable to see my friends in church on sundays. Oh well...

I guess that's it for now.. I have vocal class at 11.30pm and still have loads of work to do... Will try to update every now and then...

My Birthday Bash @ TGIF, The Curve

Thursday night, I had my birthday bash at TGI Fridays, The Curve with my family and Nicholas (who is considered family as well) :)

Dinner started at 8.30pm. We had a great meal with only appetizers for us to share and a few entrees. After dinner, the crew brought me a cake and made me stand on the chair. First, I was told to sing. lol Then, give a speech. Before I knew it, they were singing Happy Birthday to me in front of the whole restaurant :p It was quite fun and my family were enjoying it! haha And I wasn't the only one who celebrated my birthday there, mum said there were more than 3-4 people who were having their birthdays there too... Aww man... :(

After dinner, we went to E@Curve to watch the long awaited, Iron Man 2 at 10.45pm. The movie was awesome, better than I expected, or just satifisfying... Movie ended at 12.30am, we sent Nic home after that and went home :)

Conclusion, I had a great night even though not many of my friends turned up :)

Well, I went to his show on saturday at KL Pac. He was performing with his friends from YKLS and were raising funds for their trip to rep M'sia in China I think, China right? LOL So yeah. And I enjoyed the show. They had all kinds of songs from oldies, chinese songs and even Nobody by The Wonder Girls. They left that for their final song and it was quite a laughing moment for the audience :) I really enjoyed it. Oh and thank you koko for paying for it! haha

Short + Sweet Musical Workshop @ KL Pac

I had a blast for yesterday and sunday's S+S Musical workshop which was held at KL Pac! At first, I was a bit nervous because going to KL Pac was the thing, the place is like a home to loads of experts and people with better music talent than me and I was quite scared to be looked down at or stared at as I enter through the doors. But that day, I managed to focus and take my mind off that situation and just did my best and focused on being positive all the way. And it really worked out!

The first session of the first day, we spent 2.30pm to 6.30pm dancing and learning about musical. We had to learn dance steps and sing at the same time. It was mostly from musicals and we did 3 musicals which was kinda fun but tiring and confusing at the same time because I suck at dancing! haha Oh and before the session began, we were taught on how to breathe when we sing and how to warm up. It was very interesting and mind-blowing and I actually learned a lot from it. The proper way to sing and breathe! :D

The 2nd session was more interesting because we performers, were joined with the lyricist and composers who spent the whole afternoon working on their own work. So they came in and were told to present their work to us and use us performers to turn their work into reality. It was quite fun to get to know them and work with them at the same time. It was also amazing to see the look on their faces when they see their own work become to life when we performers get it done beautifully. I loved that feeling. There around 4-5 groups of composers and lyricist and around 20 performers so we had to be split into groups to join the composers and lyricist. We were only given around 30 minutes to get everything done, then return to the studio to present what we did. And even with such short time, we did it quite well because, of course, we were PERFORMERS! haha

After the presentations, we were split into different groups again, and were given the task to turn a work into reality. But after the that, we performers were given the composers and lyricist own work to turn it and change it however we liked without the composers and lyricist help. And we did it quite well too. It was fun how we worked together and turned the song or act into something inspiring and creative. We ended the session at around 10 something and went home.

The 2nd day, 3rd and final session, we were told to arrive at 7pm. So we, Charlene, Max and me, arrived a few minutes before 7pm no thanks to the awful jam we went through. But we only began around 7.30pm because of others who were caught in the jam as well. So we began with vocal and physical warm ups just like the previous day. Then we were sorted out into different groups with more composers and lyricist. This time, I was in an all girl group so I really had the trouble mixing around and blending in with them because the act was for girls! haha So yeah, I managed to do it and honestly, I had fun! So we had to present it as usual, and it turned out quite well.

Then we performers were given an audition overview and how to audition for musicals, etc... while the composers and lyricist had to go else where to prepare the continuation of the previous presentation. So, me, Charlene and Max went up as a group to present our presentation. We did The Circle which was written by Stephanie. But we changed it by making it more emotional and slower. It was quite nice and I had my chance to show my lousy acting skills and my voice. Wow! When I sang there, I heard myself, I sang quite loud and great! haha After the presentation, we were given advice and told what to do and what not to do. Then other performers showed their skills and presentation too and it was quite unbelieveble to see them show off! :)

The final part was the composers and lyricist brought their continuation to us performers and we had to act out the 2nd scene of the previous presentation. The only thing I remember me doing in the scene was, "I need to pee!!" haha It was quite funny and I think everybody who was there will remember me from that line! :D

We only finished around 10.40pm this time because of the delay and went home with smile on our faces. We took pics before we went home, shared our thoughts, and said our goodbyes.

Driving Licence in progress...

I went to go for my driver's maintenance class today. Yes, I'm taking my driving licence :) It wasn't so bad. Had a good experience and learnt to drive a manual car for the first time. Although I nearly hit another outcoming car, not my fault but it was alright :D

I'll be getting my 'L' licence next friday or saturday I think, then I'll be able to go for practical lessons, freely practice at the drive site and in May, I can take my driving test which includes slope test, reverse side parking, 3 point turn and road way driving. If I'm able to pass all of that, which I know I can :) I'll be able to get my 'P' licence a week after that and start driving on my own! YAY! Most probably a manual car though.. hehe Anyways, that's an update of what's going on with me now. I hope to be back with some photos of the driving site and the car. If not, then yeah... That's it I guess...

Outing with Deena & her friends @ Alamanda

I went out with Deena & her friends yesterday to Alamanda mall in Putrajaya. Honestly I can say, I had fun with them :)

I had to wake up on a monday morning at 6.30am! Crazy! But yeah, ended up waking at 7am, took a shower, quickly changed, had my breakfast and was off. Mum sent Dephyn to school first then sent me to the LRT station. Let me tell you... It was crazy! Thank God I didn't have to line up at the station. I just went straight in the train :) So yeah, the journey was not bad till I had to get off the train. It was a bad experience. People were pushing me and another girl to get in the train while we wanted to get out... Anyways, got off at KL central, headed down to the KTM station to go to UKM station near Bangi. Waited for Deena till 9am I think (because she took the wrong train :p) So by the time she got to KL Central, it wasn't that crowded, so we went to UKM. Waited for her friends there, and off we went to Alamanda with the transport of her friend's mum. It was a new experience, to be around Deena and her friends. They were all malays btw so yeah, new experience. I didn't even have a clue where we were going and where we were until I saw the sign that read: Alamanda mall, Putrajaya. LOL

We reached Alamanda mall around 11 something. We went to book movie tickets to see KL Drift 2... lol then went for bowling... I didn't felt like playing, so I just watched them play 3 games till 1pm. After bowling, we took some nice photos and headed to Mcd for lunch. We split up before that to do our own shopping or exploring :) I ordered mcvalue set nuggets while they ordered loads of interesting stuff, more than me FYI. One of them had 2 burgers and a fries. haha

After a nice deserved lunch, they headed to the surau for their prayers while I went exploring nearby. We headed to GSC at 2.30pm and watched KL Drift 2 till 4.30pm. Deena had to be at her station in Bank Negara to meet her mum there so we rushed out to get back to UKM station. Because of the jam and the slight train delay, we only got on the train at 5.10pm and reached Deena's station at 6pm. The journey back was better than going to UKM fyi :)

So what I can say is.. yeah, I had a good experience and some fun. Learnt that these group of malay ppl are the same as any normal teenagers you see walking on the street or the normal teenagers I hang out with but except they talk malay :D They were quite friendly and cheerful. And eventhough I was the only non-malay among them, I did enjoy myself.

Staying at Home

For the last 2 days I've stayed at home... Doing nothing but go online, watch tv, take care of my fishies :) and eat... haha There's nothing much to do actually. Even if I want to go out maybe to the mall, money is always involved... Nowadays, just to get a nice cup of drink cost a lot too. And I'm nearly broke... Or not really, just trying to save for my new laptop and phone, so don't wanna spend much.

So what I'm actually trying to say, the world is expensive and very hard nowadays... I miss being in PLKN camp sometimes, because we're trapped in a small area where it's not the outside world where it's cruel, careless and expensive. In PLKN, it's free, but sometimes hard too...

Brought Back Memories... And Taylor Swift?

It's been quite a long day and I'm still awake... Don't think I can sleep nicely tonight after all the things that are going through my mind right now. Brought back a lot of memories (accidently) after reading my old blog The Melody of My Heart and now I can't shake it off... This sucks! LOL Anyways, I have to go sooner or later. So better to be now. But I was listening to this song by Taylor Swift which I thought was quite touching. Not the lyrics but I liked the way she sang it and how she played the piano in this song. Have a nice listen to it and feel it like how I did :)

Holiday @ Cherating with Family

On the 15th (Monday) till 17th (Wednesday), my family and I went to Cherating, Pahang, for a holiday, a 3 day 2 night stay together at a 4 or 5 star hotel by the beach. My parents made arrangements a week or so before the very day to find out what to bring and where to go. We woke up early on the monday morning and loaded the car with all our packed bags and supplies. Supplies which the hotel didn't have such as microwave, oven, sleeping bag and more...

We left the house at 11am and stopped by for branch at McD and Burger King by the highway. At 11.30am, we continued our journey straight to Cherating. When we arrived there, we checked in, went to our chalet and chilled in the comfortable air-cond room. But while checking in, my sis & I decided to take a few photos in the hotel's beautiful garden. My dad & I took our own tour to walk around the hotel area, we also went to look at the beach. It was amazing! The white sand and the blue ocean made it so beautiful! The water wasn't crystal clear but it had to do :) After we settled in our rooms, my sis' & I dived into the private pool built right next to our chalet. It was sooo cool! After that, we headed straight to the beach and dragged Dylan along. We played in the sand till dawn, dived in our private pool again, then headed to the showers, then had our room-cooked dinner cooked by mum of course! It was of course delicious! After dinner, my siblings and I went to the hotel poolside to play pool table which they had. We wanted to play fuseball after that, but it wasn't working... Coins that we bought couldn't go in... Anyways, after pool table, my family & I went down to the beach and walked on the sand. We brought our touchlights and wore our slippers as we walked along the dark and breezy beach. We found a few shells, had our attempts at catching crabs and enjoyed the cold breeze and the beautiful night starry sky. The day ended as we tucked ourselves in our cozy beds in the room. But Dyl and I had to pull out the living room couch as a bed for ourselves and used the sleeping bags as blanket. The couch was quite small, I bumped my head a few times and the next day had some bumps on my head...

The 2nd day began when we woke up at around 10am. Breakfast? Toast and leftover hash brown from the previous day's McD breakfast! LOL luckily we brought our oven along. :) After breakfast, we stayed in the room watching tv and enjoyed the nice chilling air cond. For lunch, dad drove us to Kuantan and we had Rasamas at Kuantan Megamall which was an hour drive away. But worth the distance and wait. After lunch, we.. I mean.. Mum & I had our favorite starbucks frapuccinos while dad, Dyl and Dephyn had ice cream from McD. We got in the car, then drove to a place nearby where they were selling dried stuff. Mum & dad bought a whole box of dried fish. Dyl and Dephyn were asleep in the car while they were shopping and I was busy in the front seat listening to music :D After that, we went to the Turtle Sanctuary near our hotel. Nothing much actually, went in, all they had was a small museum about the turtles and a few ponds where they kept the sea turtles and river turtles. We gave a small donation in the aid of saving the turtles from extinction. When we saw everything, including the Club Med nearby and the cleaner beach near Club Med, we drove into a road where we bought ice coconut. Then we passed by a small hut where they had various activities such as Snorkeling, fishing trip and Fireflies watching. Fireflies, that sparked everyone's interest. So we stopped by, made some enquiries and we booked 5 places for a boat to go Fireflies watching at 7.30pm :D Then, we stopped by a small souvenir shop where I bought some souvenirs for the folks back home. Soon after that, we went back to the hotel to rest. While everyone settled down to rest, my sis' couldn't wait to go to the beach again. So I just (not wanting to go, wanted to rest) followed and in the end, I helped her make a huge sand castle again... Oh well, had fun anyways :p After that, we went down to that small hut which was by a river for our Fireflies watching appointment :) Hafiz, which was the tour guide for the fireflies watching, gave us a short intro of the fireflies and his past experiences. He was a very friendly, bubbly and interesting guy. So at 7.45pm, we got into the boats one by one along with another boat of people, and went off along upstream of the river to see some fireflies. Little did we expect, we didn't see any fireflies at first. But as we kept going, we saw more and more fireflies appear along the mangroove trees which were on the side of the river. Hafiz, had this special touchlight wrapped around an orange cloth which he waved. It was quite cool. As he waved the light, the fireflies all flew towards him. He was seated behind us, stirring the boat, so the fireflies passed over our hands and bodies, and we got the experience to touch and hold the fireflies in our palms. It was a very lightening and beautiful experience as we saw hundreds and thousands of fireflies. After the half an hour trip, we returned to the hut and headed for dinner which was close by too. We ate at the Dayung Seafood Restaurant on the seaside. What we had for dinner? Seafood such as crabs and fish, chicken, vege and much more. Delicious! I can still taste it! :D After a nice tasting and enjoyable dinner, we left the restaurant and headed back to the Turtle Sanctuary because we were told that we would have the chance to see baby turtles released into the ocean or even have the chance to see turtles coming up on the beach to lay eggs. But all in all, we reached and there was nothing there... So we returned to the hotel to get a good night's rest.

The 3rd day and last day, Dyl and I woke up at 11am this time because of how tired we were. But my dad and sis' filled with energy, went down to the beach to play in the water and on the big crashing waves :) Dylan and I had breakfast, then I jumped in the pool with my sis' after she returned from the beach with my dad. Then we ran back to the beach, having our last fun before returning back to our hotel chalet to pack our stuff. After loads of packing and checking the room for our stuff, my siblings and I went down to the poolside again to use our remaining coins to play pool table again. We had fun as we competed against each other. My sis had her try at pool table again and managed to get one ball in, with my help of course :p After 2 games, it was time to check out. We met up with our parents at the car which was already loaded up and left the hotel at 12.30pm. We reached Selangor border at 2 something and packed lunch from a restaurant near Desa Park City.

My Guitar

Here's my guitar, Melany. She'll be a year old in July. She's my guitar, my baby. I've played many songs with her and although did very little performances with her, I still treasure her and all the songs I've played with her...

But now I plan to install a pickguard for her so that I don't damage her. But I also need to know if it's nice, otherwise I'll get a different pickguard. Current pickguard I bought is black, if this pickguard isn't nice, I'll probably get a brown one. But I need everyone's opinion. Which one is better? With pickguard or without pickguard. Pictures below!

M16 Colt Training and Experience

During NS camp, 2nd March 2010, Alpha & Bravo Company went to the Lapangan Tembak in Alor Gajah, Melaka, to have our try on holding, using and learning the M16 Colt Rifle. I was in Bravo Company as you should know. We went there with 5 buses. 2 buses for Alpha and 2 buses for Bravo. Extra bus to carry food and supplies and extra people which include me :)

We left at 8.30am and got there about 9.15am. First, we lined up in 'barisan' and 'lapor diri'. After that, we split into four groups and went down to a place where they gave us a practical lesson on how to hold, use and prone. Demo's were given and we had to pay close attention. We were told to place our finger outside the trigger while holding the gun and not firing. A tip of squeezing the trigger, not pulling it was also given to us. We were also showed how to aim at the target accurately by looking carefully into the pin hole on the tip of the gun.

After questions and answers were done, we went straight to the field where Alpha company had their turn to fire the weapon. We went by detail and 10 people in 1 detail. 5 guys and 5 girls. Each detail took around 5-7 minutes to complete. 2 clips were given for us to fire the gun. The first clip consist of 10 bullets for us to practice with and get use to the weapon. The second clip consist of 20 bullets for us to fire for points. Passing mark was 50/100 and maximum is 100 points. We get 5 points for hitting bullseye or the center of the target, 3 for hitting outside the bullseye and 0 for hitting outside the target. Alpha company had 10 details so it took them quite a while to finish.

Next was Bravo Company and we too had 10 details. I was in 2nd detail, number 4. My first 5 practice shots were quite ridiculous. I had no idea where the target was so I started shooting shot by shot all over the place such as the hill and the sky. :p My last 5 shots for practice shots were mostly bullseye and inside the target thanks to the trainer who told me where the target was. haha Then my 20 shots were amazingly slow and painful. My arm was suddendly not positioned right and I ended up hurting my arm. Sweat was all over my face as I was freaking nervous during the shooting. But all in all, I managed to get around 80 something out of 100 for my overall points. It was quite fun and I really wanted to try again. But as they said, only one chance per person.

But at least it ain't so bad, there were a few who got 8/100 or even 5/100. After a long day of firing guns and hearing loud gun shots, we had lunch there at 12.30pm. The remaining unfinished details of Bravo company continued their firing till 3 something. We left straight after. 4 buses went straight back to camp while bus no.5 which I was in went to the nearest BSN branch to withdraw money. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my card so I just tagged along for fun :)

My bus finally reached camp at 4.30pm. Indeed it was a great experience to be able to hold and use a real rifle that not many get the chance.

A Day With Min @ Sunway Pyramid

Spent a day with Min, my friend I met at NS camp, yesterday at Sunway Pyramid. We met around 2 something. Went for ice skating, promised I'd teach her a thing or two. :) After that, we walked around and went chocolate shopping at Giant supermarket. Then walked around some more and got some Krispy Kreme :D We visited the guitar shop nearby too as I needed to get a pickguard for my guitar, Melany. After so much walking around, we stopped at Coffee Bean and chilled there for some ice blended coffee. Took some photos and walked around some more! LOL At last, my mum came and I sent her home after 8pm. That's kinda summarized :)

I'm back from NS for a while till thursday. Have to report back to camp before 5pm on that day. So now, I'm currently treasuring every moment I have at home. So far I've achieved most of what I want to do which includes starbucks! :D Well, I've got 4 more days to go. Tuesday going to Sunway Pyramid again to hang out with friends. Wednesday I'll have a recording with Charlene & Brendan and I'll be shopping for supplies for camp which mostly includes food! Then thursday, will be relaxing till I have to leave for camp. :(

Friday, Saturday & Sunday? Friday, I arrived back home at 2 something after hanging out with Dyl at petaling street and shopping for a sunglasses. Parents picked me up at 9 something but reached Selangor border at 11am. Didn't do much the whole afternoon except went online. But went to church at 6pm. Had dinner at home, Fish & Chips! and went to Ikano after that to grab a starbucks then chilled with Gary, Brendan, Caleb & Jerome, Brendan's cousin. Saturday, hanged out at Pyramid with Michelle, Michael B., Zac, Angelica & Dylan. We had lunch there, then ice skate for a while, then movie. After that, my family came after they all went home, we had dinner there at Tony Romas till 11pm. Sunday, church as usual, then lunch at mamak in Kelana Jaya. Visited Aunty Tilly's house for a while after lunch, then went home to rest the whole afternoon. For dinner, we had pizza!

NS camp... All I can say is that it has been great so far. I've gained some experiences and met a lot of new friends from the south side of the country. Many activities there were quite fun such as the Flying Fox, the obstacle course, jungle trekking, etc... Although I injured myself such as cutting my leg, getting many splinters and getting a swolen toe, I still tried my best to keep up with the activities. The dorms here are okay I can say, not good not bad but at an average. Toilets are fine if maintained well but unfortunately, guys here aren't that hygenic or responsible enough. Smokers do exist so they normally smoke in the bathroom area. Showers here are open so you basically have to bathe with other people... Thank God they keep their pants on. The facilities here aren't bad either. Well maintained. The food? haha A lot of people complain about the food in NS but I think it ain't so bad if you take it positively. At least the food here don't have worms in it like the camps in Perak & Pahang right? But having fish everyday for dinner ain't comfortable. LOL

But first thing's first, the camp's name. Kem Warisan, Masjid Tanah which is in Melaka. They say this camp is the hottest camp ever. And it's one of the only camps surrounded deep in a palm oil estate. It's also one of the oldest camps with a few 'ok2' teachers. We're fortunate here too because the camp has a nice lake and a river nearby. It doesn't rain much here but even if it does, it rains and it shines :) which is beautiful. The scenery here ain't so bad except for looking at palm oils everywhere you turn. The people here aren't that bad, well, I'd say ok2. Not bad not good either. LOL But some of the girls I met are alright, the guys in my dorm are quite good too, quite friendly.

I'll be leaving for NS tomorrow, which is a saturday, at 9.30am. I'll be at the camp in Melaka for 3 months. I'll be back though for holiday in Feb for CNY but only for 1 week. So what? Come back for 1 week and go back again? Yeah, I guess so...

Well, just finished packing. Thanks so much to my mum. Without her, I'd be lost or would be forgetting loads of stuff to bring. I was thinking to bring my guitar but on second thought, maybe not. I'll be leaving loads of stuff behind when I go. Such as my family, my great friends, good food, my guitar, my songwriting book, my phone, my favorite Starbucks drink and more...

Before I leave for this camp, I just wanna thank Aaron Lee for advising me a bit about the camp. Thanks to all my friends who have wished me a safe trip and a great 3 months. Thanks to all for all the hugs and wishes. Really needed it! Thank you so much! Hopefully to see you all in February when I come back for the CNY holiday.

I wish I could list down names about those who helped me a lot and wished me but I'm afraid I'd forget to mention some people so I won't.

Time to Make Changes

Yeah, I'm still awake at this hour. It's currently 5.45am and I don't feel like sleeping. Will be having 9am new year's mass later so should have to get off the comp soon.

I can't believe it's 2010 already. Time has really gone by fast and everything's really changed. I'm already 17 going on 18 this year and still short (thank God). I've learned a lot these past few years and have gone through a few experiences. I'm glad 2010 is here though, because I can prepare to make new changes. I hope to accomplish some more stuff this year too.

My list:
-get chosen for the JYM Outreach team 2010.
-buy my laptop after my birthday
-be able to drive soon...
-survive NS!
-host and organize my own birthday bash concert
-and more... Lazy to list down some more.. haha

I hope everyone else's dream and wishes can come true too. 2010 looks like a very odd year with 2 digit numbers in the last 2 numbers. Means things will surely change soon... Well, I gotta go now. My family & I went out to One Utama again for New Year's eve. We arrived there at 10pm for dinner. We picked out a lil' cafe and restaurant called the Garden. We ate dinner till 11pm when it closed. Dinner was delicious! After dinner, my siblings and I went together to the arcade to play a game or two before the countdown. We joined our parents at the area near the central park where a huge crowd gathered too for the concert and the countdown.

I don't know what else to say. We had an awesome countdown with the fireworks to complete everything. And the most coolest thing was we were there to witness fireworks from every side! Fireworks at the Curve, and behind the One Utama hotel.

My family & I went to 1 Utama today to catch a movie, Avatar in 3D. 10 years worth waiting for actually, and we heard that it was worth watching. We arrived at 1U about 2.30pm, looking for parking. After finally finding one, we went to do our own thing. I went to fix my classical guitar (one of the strings broke), my mum & Dephyn went to Jusco to buy a few stuff while Dylan went to search for a gift for a special someone :)

After we did our own stuff, we headed to GSC cinema at 3.30pm, buying 2 boxes of popcorn, we were ready to enter the theatre anxious to see the movie. Movie started out great when we had the 3D glasses in hand. It was soo awesome. I won't explain more, you HAVE to watch it! One of the best movies I've ever watched! Two hours and 45 minutes later, the movie ended and Dephyn wanted to go play some games at the arcade. So I headed to the arcade with her while my mum & Dylan went to Chillis to get a table for dinner. Of course, dinner was delicious! Right after dinner, we headed home after buying some of my aquarium stuff at Tmn Megah.

Alex, from the Outreach 09' team had a christmas party at his house so my brother was invited and I tagged along :) Basically, we had a great time! It's 1.14am and I'm still awake. Not that I can't sleep, just don't want to. I wanna do something special, something amazing, not sleep... But I guess, time's a factor. Well yesterday (wednesday) was the 1st day I was trying to keep my mouth shut and not talk until sunday because of my sore throat. I have to gain my voice back by sunday night otherwise I won't be able to sing for the christmas party on sunday night. Please pray for me!

Yeah, I'll be singing with a group of talented singers, we'll be doing acapella songs and some nice christmas songs at St Ignatius Church JYM Christmas Party at 7.30pm, 27th December 2009. So readers, I hope you can come! It'll be fun with praise & worships, other performances such as dances and skits. A night of laughter and fun!

And I can't believe christmas is SO CLOSE! Just wish I had my special people to spend it with. They're either busy or out of the country. But I still have my family and my relatives. Wished my grandpa was still here to celebrate christmas, he always has a smile on his face for every christmas. Miss that.

A Day At Sunway Pyramid with the outreach team

Had a long day yesterday... Woke up at about 11.30am, and left for Sunway Pyramid at 1.30pm with my brother to meet and hang out with the SIC Youth Rally Outreach team. Played some games at the arcade with them till we went down to A&W for lunch. At about 2.30pm, we walked slowly to the Ice skating ring where we bought our entry tickets and ice skated till 5.30pm. My brother, Dylan, at his 2nd try was already a pro, skating and showing off... Some didn't know how to skate, some were good at it and helped some of us to learn. Me? I fell more than 5 times till 'almost' getting it. But soon, I pulled out of the ring because I injured my left leg. I SOOOO wanted to skate again but because of my leg, I just sat down and watched the others...

At about 5.30pm, half the team went to watch a movie while us the other half went to eat and have a drink at Old Town White Coffee. Dyl and I joint them till 6.50pm when we had to leave. I had to go for a christmas party practice so yeah... But I had fun with them laughing and talking to them. Although I wasn't apart of the team, I just wanted to get to know them a bit and find out why Dylan, who is part of the team too, loves them so much.

It's a busy week and weekend now! I'm soooo stressed! Had christmas party practice today, which will be happening on the 27th of December at St Ignatius Church. Readers, PLEASE try to make it because I'll be singing with an acapella group! YAY! Then friday my cousin's getting married so have to practice for dance performance tomorrow night. We haven't even started yet! LOL And this sunday night I'll be having christmas carolling with the BEC group of St. Joseph in Bandar Utama. Probably going around houses singing carol hymns. Cool!

Youth Rally was AWESOME! Experienced loads of new things during the camp especially praise & worship. Never thought it would be this crazy! I've never jumped like mad for every praise & worship. haha We had inner healing as well, where we were all touched by God. I didn't know that I would be touched and moved by God as I came unprepared. Didn't expect anything really... One of our facilitators for the camp was Jude Antoine. He's a great man! He talked about many stuff concerning our youth today and what we experience everyday. Other facilitators include Father Philip Tan. Anyways, for this blog post, I hav photos of Family Nite taken by my sis, Dephyn, and my opinion/comments about this year's JYM team. They're seriously awesome!

Firstly I must say, they're awesome! My first time going to the SIC Youth Rally and loads of people had a great time and experience just because of these young people. They're full of personalities, fun and humour. It's hard not to laugh at them and enjoy their company. I've witnessed how they always stick together, stand up for each other and give each other a hug whenever one of them needs one. They're soooo close to God and trust in Him in everyway. They're awesome in Praise & Worship sessions too! How they come up with ideas and do all their skits and dance, it's really awesome and I can't imagine how many practices they have to go through just to get it right and perfect. Even though they were getting tired and going through pains during the camp, they still did their best and never gave up. That's how commited they are. Trust me, my brother is one of them so yeah, I know!

I wish I could explain more, but not much words can explain how awesome and fun these group of people are. And I'm proud to be able to get to know some of them and talk to them.

Well, I'm free again. Finished my last spm paper today and so glad! Had my favorite Starbucks Ice Blended Frapuccino Mocha as a celebration for myself, lol so sad right? But glad I could make myself happy.

A lot has been happening lately. Don't know where to start. So little time to post it here on my blog. Well, firstly, christmas is coming and I'm currently looking for a female duet partner to do some christmas songs with. Still finding. Visited Garden International School tonight for Fung's musical. Watched it with her friends. It was very interesting and funny :) Seriously! Nothing I've ever seen. But sadly, I arrived late so missed a few parts. Oh well...

So yeah, I'm back! My blog's up and running again and I'll be blogging when I can as I now have loads to do after my spm, such as driving school, National service :( and party! haha Will update!

A Song For Papa

My granddad recently passed away exactly a week ago... We had prayers for 7 days, finished last night. Funeral was on saturday and he was cremated at Cheras after the funeral.

Well, I managed to write and compose a song for him. It's not completed yet so hopefully I can finish it before his 73rd birthday on Dec 20th.

Hello everyone and all my readers! I'm back again after such busy weeks and days. I've got a few photos to share and update you about. Nothing much really since I'm still so busy preparing for exams. Even though I feel a bit lazy to upload some photos (because Blogger has poor uploading service), I will still post some photos for everyone. Thanks for visiting!

My 55 Gallon/4ft Aquarium finally done! I will keep you updated on the change of decorations. I made a few adjustments inside but yet to snap a picture of it. Soon, soon!

My new 8 Gallon Aquarium. Actually got it for FREE! How cool is that? So why miss that offer and chance? haha Well, this pic is also old so I will update you on the new photo soon.

What you are seeing in the pictures above is my NEW ROOM! haha not really new actually. It's a bit smaller and different than my current room. But I get a new bed, my own bathroom, and some new furniture such as a table and some space to put my future small aquariums! LOL I should be moving in next week when all the dirty work and moving is done. Pictures will be updated! The pictures above is progress of my new bed being built. Bought it from IKEA thanks to my dad :)

Yes yes. I was the only guy there. We split into 2 groups. This group which was all girls had dinner at The Delicious and the 2nd group went for movies and were a mix of guys and girls of course.
What else do you want me to say? I'm officially speechless because I had a great time with these girls. They were great! I met them there (Mid Valley) at The Delicious while they were having dinner at 8pm. Took a few photos, went to their 'girl accessory' store (I didn't get dragged in this time unlike 2 years ago with Maria and her friends, this time I went in with them myself free willingly :D) Then we went to Baskin Robins, more photos there, ice cream, truth and dare. Then where did we go? haha Forgot... Oh.. Met the other group at the food court in The Gardens. Talked and talked :D of course I as always was a bit quiet... =.=" After that, said goodbye to Fung, went with the other group to Starbucks which was right next to the BR we were at.
Reason why we had this outing? Cindy came back from Indon and was visiting for a while. So what more can we do but to spend time with her :) Had fun, Cindy even though I was very quiet, NOT SHY but very quiet :p

I'm Back

I know it's been quite some time, haven't blog for ages. I've lost myself in some stuff like my aquarium which is actually officially done, my singing & music, some of my friends and the worst of the worst, exams... I've made a few attempts to just sit down, type some stuff on my blog but had no luck lately and this time it's one of my luck. Sitting down now in the middle of the night while everybody else is sleeping. You can say I'm free right now, but I'm actually not. Still have to study, having spm bible knowledge trials tomorrow morning. Not sleeping now because I've had some trouble sleeping for the past few days. Long story...

Anyways, my spm trials will be in October so wouldn't have time to blog or do anything else besides study. After trials would be the real thing, so really can't wait for it to be over. After that, I should be free to go for adventures and start my blogging hobby again, CAN'T WAIT! Right now, I'm still saving up for my laptop so I can blog and surf the internet at hotspots whenever I want. Also have to save up cash for my driving licence so I don't have to beg my mum to drive me around for my personal errands. Well, as usual it's getting late and can't stay up too late. I hope to blog again soon. Until then, peace out!

My Aquarium is done (FINALLY!)

Finally, my 4ft aquarium (55 gallons) is done! Took me around 4 weeks, hours of planning, RM300+ spent and loads of petrol used to gather the equipment, the plants, the gravel, the driftwood, the cover+light, and the water. haha I've already got 6 Neon Tetras, and 1 Pearl Gourami in it, so more will be coming soon. You can see the difference of the pictures below.

This one was taken last week. I had the lousy light that kept going off on me, the plants were still all over the place and no fish yet.

As you can see here in this pictures which were taken 2 days ago, I changed the light settings. I placed a new blue flourescent light, and the same pink light but I DIY repaired it. I also tied up some of the old and new plants onto my driftwood so it'll cling itself there. I also dropped some fish in it (but very hard to be seen) and I got some backdrop plants which are behind the driftwood and also dropped in some stones.

More pictures will be appearing soon.

I just wanna give credit to my mum and dad who drove me around to get the supplies and sponsored some of the items which I needed and couldn't afford myself. I wanna thank my fellow Fishlore members who helped me out and gave me tons of ideas and advices. Without all these people mentioned above, I wouldn't have completed such a beautiful aquarium.

Setting Up my New 4ft Aquarium

Hey everyone...
I apologize for not being able to blog for more than a week now. I've been very busy lately and can now rarely find the time to blog due to studies, personal issues and setting up my new aquarium.

I actually had this aquarium along with the stand for more than 2 months now, it's been empty ever since. I bought it for around RM60 for the aquarium and the stand with the help of my dad (he paid RM40) from church. Yes, the money went to charity! haha so cool! Anyways, I finally got it cleaned, re-sprayed (the stand) and filled with water. But here's a picture without water, cover and light. Just the filter and my designed stand (credit designs go to my mum who gave the idea).

After cleaning it and designing the stand. I bought the filter. (because I could only afford the filter that time, so I couldn't manage to buy the gravel and other supplies) After installing the filter and setting it up. I quickly filled it with water and got everything running so I could start the nitrogen cycle (it's a science & aquarist thing). A week later, which was yesterday. I bought the aquarium cover, light, driftwood and a c02 system for the plants. The light actually came with the cover, total for RM90. So it wasn't that bad. I bought it at TIC-Y behind TTDI hong leong bank. Good store, I go there quite often for aquarium supplies.

I went to The Pet Family store in Tmn Megah. Heard about it from a fellow blogger I know. I bought my driftwood from here for only RM6. It's quite cheap and affordable. The driftwoods are nice too! But they also sell fish, aquarium supplies and other pets such as dogs and cats and supplies. I plan to buy some aquarium rocks here, they are quite cheap.

I also got a member card from the store. Quite lucky or blessed I am I can say. At first, the cashier which I think was a newbie told me before I paid for my purchase that if I pay another extra RM5, I can get a member card. Then the senior told the newbie, 'this offer doesn't exist anymore, but nevermind la. Just give him the card if he wants it' So I bought the card! Because if not, then the only way to get the card is to purchase items RM30 or above then I can get the card for free. So better I just pay RM5 extra la! LOL

After that, I went to 88 Pets Mart in Aman Suria actually to exchange a bacteria remover for my aquarium which bought from here but I didn't need it after all. The remover was RM10 so managed to ask for an exchange for another item. I took more than half an hour running around the store trying to find what I really needed (I didn't come prepared! haha). So after half an hour or so, I managed to get a tube for my filter and a sponge worth RM4 for both. And I also managed to get this:

A C02 system. It is WAY cheaper in Pets Mart than Pets Safari or any other pet shop! RM69! The last time I went to The Pet Safari, I checked it out and it was around RM78.90! Fish Paradise in Centrepoint was RM75. So without thinking twice, I bought this C02 system in Pets Mart because it was cheaper! So total with the tube, sponge, my mum helped me pay for it, RM63.20... (not bad)

The night I bought it, I soaked it in hot water for a few hours to sterilize it.

I went to TIC-Y to get my cover and light for the aquarium. Here it is... Thank God! It took me more than an hour to completely set it up. I had to configure with the filter, the light and positioning the wires. It was hectic and such a headache! I literally had to move up and down, carry the cover more than twice and accidently slammed the cover a few times. To make things worst, the light was giving problems due to a connection problem. Don't know why but it's fine now but whenever theres sudden movements on the cover, the light will suddenly go out. So after a few fiddling with the light and its wires, I managed to get it working. Here's what it looks like!
I can't imagine it with gravel, plants and the fishes yet. Very hard to imagine. But trying! Hopefully to get everything done in 2-3 weeks so I can rest and stare at it like I've always wanted to! haha
Today I went to Kok Aquarium all the way in Old Town. Thanks to dad who was willing to drive all the way there for me. Thanks Dad! He also bought the 5kg of gravel I was supposed to pay myself. But yeah, my dad =) The prices increased here. The neon tetras here use to be 90 cents each, now it's RM1.20 each! No way I'm gonna buy here!

Friday Night

I know I haven't been blogging much again. It's either nothing much happening lately, or I didn't get a chance to take some good photos of the good moments... :( But anyway, I managed to take a few shots of friday night when I spent some time with Brendan, Caleb & his family.
We went to Old Town's cafe near Jln Ipoh, at about 12.30am! LOL We only finished about 1 something in the morning, then sent them home. I stayed over at Brendan's house that night, we reached his house about 2 something. Slept at 4.30am! Why? Well, I couldn't sleep because I had an Ice Blended Mocha at Old Town's! haha So we watched a movie until 4am. I was fully awake throughout the whole movie while Brendan was falling asleep. Even after the movie I couldn't sleep, so I just lied down and did nothing for a while then finally I slept.

The reason I took a photo of this banner, because of the name of the meal! LOL When we got out of the car, I read the banner which said, 'My HOR HEE set'. Everyone started laughing! haha

Hey everyone. I know I haven't been blogging much again. Really have not much time lately... I think maybe later during the holidays or something I'll blog more often. I managed to post some photos though...

Took this one when I went to the Curve with my mum last night. A whole row of beds to sleep on... How cool!

My mum & I went to the Curve @ Kim Gary's for dinner. Had my favorite drink, Fresh Honey Lemon Drink =)

I decided to try something new for the main course rather than my favorite Chicken with white sauce and rice. Introducing the Fried Pork chop with rice & corn

Then we went walking around, stopped at a stall and I tried on this glasses! I felt old in it! LOL

Today, my bro & I chilled at our favorite cafe, Alibaba! Played our usual game, Company of Heroes and a new game, GRID! hehe

And btw, Brendan's back from America! He came back on thursday. He has to quarantine himself until he knows that he's free from the H1N1 virus. Praying he'll b fine. Hope to see him tomorrow.

My family & I went to the restaurant at Aman Suria where we took my mum's sister's family out for dinner. And I drank 2 glasses of Carlsberg right in front of my dad, he insisted. haha

I went to Bentley's Music Shop with my mum the night before to buy my semi-acoustic. Sorry I don't have much pictures. We were busy trying to negotiate the price. haha I don't have a picture of my guitar yet either. Sorry!

Star Gazing At Your Local Kopitiam

Ever wondered where our local celebs hang out? Check out your local mamak. We give you just a few places you may want to hang around if you fancy a bit of celeb-spotting or a teh tarik.

Malaysians love their food as much as they love people watching. Combine the two and you have a recipe for a sub-culture that will last into the next century.

With the birth of the 24 hour mamak stall, we can now stay out all night simply ogling at people. Safe to say, the mamak has become Malaysia’s version of the street side cafes you find in Paris or the coffee chains that line every street corner in New York.

Our local celebs are not immune to wanting a daily dose of nasi kandar and teh tarik, or to being the targets of mass ogling when sipping their teh o ais limaus. Safe to say, the mamak is the best place to perch yourself and watch as the beautiful people go by. The type of celebrity that frequents the mamak can fall into three categories: those who are there for convenience sake (ie. It is close to their home or where they are performing), those who want to see and be seen in a trendy area and those who are there for the food.

The first category of celebrities can be found in areas such as Sentul, Ampang and Damansara Perdana. As these are mainly residential areas or areas that surround film studios (KLPac is in Sentul and the Media Prima offices are in Petaling Jaya). Celebs can often be seen nipping out for a quick bite after shows and studio appearances, or hanging around the shops closest their homes.

You may spot Harith Iskandar making jokes with his friends or carrying his groceries around De Maju mamak in Damansara. The best place to catch theatre actors such as Tony Eusoff and Nell Ng is around the KL Performing Arts Centre after rehearsals or night shows. Also look out around the KLCC area and the Rest Rasyid mamak along Jalan Ampang for celebrities who may want a quick bite to eat after a show at KL Convention Center. If you’re lucky, you may even spot an international celebrity. Diana Krall was caught saying she sampled the delights of Jalan Alor and the great roti canai stalls in that area.

The second category of mamak-bound celebs are easier to spot. You can find them in trendy areas like Bangsar, Mont Kiara and Hartamas simply because these are the ‘it’ areas celebrities live in and are densely populated by the trendy crowd.

Shamser Sidhu, Nicole David and Henry Golding from 8TV Quickie have all been spotted with a cold drink and roti in hand at Bangsar’s Devi’s Corner. While Nirwana, the banana leaf haven in the same area, has also seen the likes of DJs Pietro and Adam C from hitz.fm. Hartamas is also a goldmine for searching out famous faces. We have spied Pop Shuvit hanging out in Hartamas Square and Alex Yoong at other shops in that area. Even Anwar Ibrahim has been seen getting his morning dose of nasi kandar in Hartamas.

The third category of celeb haunts are famed for their food and are worth a visit not just for star gazing but also for good ole’ grazing. Joanna Bessey is said to be crazy over the rotis served in Raju’s, just off Jalan Gasing, while DJ Ean from hitz.fm is mad about Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa in Kampung Baru.

If you want to be sure of seeing at least one famous face, then hit your mamak late. The best times to go would be after 10pm or early in the morning when you’ll spot a sleepy eyed celeb or to reaching for a packet of nasi lemak panas.

Even if you’re not out to star gaze, keep an eye open the next time you’re at your local. You never know who you might catch with a Maggi goreng on the go. Happy celeb spotting!

I've found a trailer on YouTube. The movie is freaking scary, watching the trailer already makes me scared of it. The effects are cool but the only thing I don't like about the movie is the part where they destroyed the catholic church in Rome. It's really insulting to the catholic religion, because they only focused on that kind of destruction on our church, no other religion's temples. Just the great church. It's isn't fair!

Dylan & I spent a few hours playing our favorite game, Company Of Heroes, at Tbun. Wasn't really worth it because we kept losing in the game & had to pay rm6 for 2 n 1/2 hours when we could've paid with the package which was 3 hrs for rm6... LOL

I watched Ocean's Thirteen just now... Nice movie. Real funny too! If you haven't watched it yet, you've gotta watch it!

Another movie I think is cool is Cloverfield! But the visual of the whole movie isn't really good because the movie is filmed with a person camera, meaning the whole movie is filmed from the person experiencing the incidents. But it's really cool! The effects, the attacks, and all the drama, intense and thrill. I could feel the intense when I first watched it. Scary and cool! It'll be shown on Cinemax Astro channel 412, sunday 6.30pm. Watch it!

Michael Jackson... Dead??

It's a friday, 26th of June 2009. Woke up this morning, watched the news about Michael Jackson. Died at 2.26pm, L.A time... Really got me there. Can't believe he died. Here's a good video of his 30th anniversary.

Michael Jackson died after suffering a cardiac arrest, officials confirmed, sending shockwaves around the entertainment world as stunned stars and fans mourned the loss of the tortured music icon known as the "King of Pop."

Los Angeles County Coroner's office spokesman Lieutenant Fred Corral told CNN that Jackson, 50, was pronounced dead at 2:26 pm (2126 GMT) local time, roughly two hours after paramedics were first called to the star's home.

"I can tell you at this time that we were notified by West Los Angeles Police Department detectives that Mr Jackson was transported... to the hospital, and upon admitting, he was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at approximately 2:26 this afternoon," Corral told CNN.

Corral said an autopsy would "most likely" be carried out on Friday but would not speculate on the exact cause of death.

"Everything is still ongoing. We will be responding to the hospital to move Mr Jackson to our facility where he will be examined to determine the cause of death," Corral said.

"As far as I'm aware, we were notified by LAPD detectives that Mr Jackson was brought in by paramedics to the hospital in full cardiac arrest and then he was later pronounced dead.

National and local television networks showed hundreds of media and onlookers gathered at UCLA Medical Center, while CNN showed police motorcycle riders surrounding Jackson's rented mansion as crowds of tourists and fans gathered, snapping photographs of the property's wrought iron gates.

Lana Brown, a 49-year-old tourist from Dallas, broke down in tears as she digested the news.

"Right today I can't believe we might have lost the best entertainer this world has ever seen," she told AFP.

CNN reported that several of Jackson's siblings had gathered at the hospital.

Jackson's death came as the singer prepared to make a keenly anticipated concert comeback in London, his first series of shows in more than a decade and the first since his 2005 acquittal on child molestation charges.

However those concerts -- billed as the "final curtain" -- were thrown into doubt after Jackson pushed back the opening dates last month.

Organizers of the concerts at the time stressed the delay was not linked to Jackson's health. When asked about Jackson's physical condition, Randy Phillips of concert backers AEG Live said: "I would trade my body for his tomorrow. He's in fantastic shape."

While Jackson reigned as the "King of Pop" in the 1980s, his once-stellar career was overshadowed by his colorful public behavior, his startling physical transformation and multiple allegations of child abuse.

Jackson lived as a virtual recluse following his 2005 acquittal on charges including child molestation and plotting to kidnap his young accuser.

Despite his acquittal, the trial was a body blow from which the pop music superstar struggled to recover.

Despite the early success, Jackson was to recall those years as unhappy and lonely ones. Eventually the family act broke up, as Jackson went solo. In 1979, Quincy Jones produced Jackson's first solo album for Epic, "Off the Wall," a huge disco-oriented success that sold 10 million copies. They teamed up again in 1982 for what would be Jackson's breakthrough album as a composer and co-producer, "Thriller," which became the top-selling album of all time, with sales exceeding 41 million.

Jones reacted with shock after being informed of Jackson's death Thursday.

"I'm absolutely devastated at this news," he said. "I just don't have the words. Divinity brought our souls together and allowed us to do what we could do through the '80s," Jones said. "To this day that music is played in every corner of the world, and the reason is because he had it all -- talent, grace, and professionalism. I'm back!!
Back from a one & a half week of exams. Fully loaded mid year exams... Thank God it's over for now. At least it wasn't that bad, I can't imagine a month of SPM exams!

Anyways, I've got loads ahead of me. Can't wait! This saturday, 27th June 2009, I will be going back to KDU college with Carolyn and her friend for a few workshops. We're going to see Kenny Sia, live in person! haha Then, I'll be attending the culinary workshop with them until 12pm I think, then we plan to have lunch, then I'll send her to the train station after that. Erm... I don't think there's anything else... Btw, I'll be sure to take a photo with Kenny Sia, that's if I can get a shot with him if the other people don't ruin it. LOL
Sunday, 28th June 2009, my church will be having a cafeteria day for the form 4 confirmants of 09/10. haha so come support if you can at St Ignatius Church. I'll be helping out...
Then in the following weekends, I'll be visiting other churches, mostly my friends' churches. Reason why? Well, just to check out and visit my friends who are having their sunday school sessions while I'm free. So mind as well use this opputurnity!

I think that's it for my plans...

And also I mentioned about writing songs for people and selling them. Well, Aaron gave me this better idea to perform for people. Still thinking if I should do it? Firstly, I'll need support, the promoting parts and the 'how to play thousands of songs' part! haha So I'll be thinking about it... Please send in your comments and suggestions about it! Celebrated my dad's birthday tonight before dinner. Nothing big.. Just a small celebration with a cake & a birthday song.

Didn't do much today. Woke up at 2pm (slept at 3am last night). Had lunch, watched tv, went online, then more tv, then dinner & now I'm here writing my blog. I also had the time to record a new song. A lullaby actually...

And I had some time to think about somethings last night. One of them was about writing songs. Pay attention to this guys! I'll be offering to write songs for people. But there is a fee though because it takes a lot of time to write a song & compose it. But only simple songs, nothing big. I'm not that good of a song writer or composer to write such pro songs with pro piano or guitar chords. I'll be starting this whole 'request a song' thingy in a few days so keep checking my blog to find out more. I can only do a few type of genre of songs. And depends on what type of song, the fee will be different but also as low as possible. Not going higher than RM50 for the first few weeks. Let me know of any opinions or suggestions! Thanks!

Yes.. You all know I'm blogging again when I said WILL BE BACK IN 2 WEEKS... But it's the weekend and having a break now. So taking it easy and just blogging for a while this weekend. But will be back to work again next week until thursday. Can't wait for exams to be over.

Yeah! Went to Tropicana City Mall tonight with my sis & mum. We went there for dinner at Esquire Kitchen... Then took my sis to Toys R' Us while my mum went shopping at Carrefour. Took some pics then left =)

School & Exams

Last day of my 2 week holiday and I'm sooo tired! I can't believe school is already starting tomorrow. Back to waking up at 5.30am everyday, the usual 30 minute LRT ride to town again. The usual school bell will ring and green ties on mondays... Back to the usual 7 hour school. Can't wait to leave school and finally spread my wings when I can, no one to hold me down or keep me away. But I'd sure miss school sooner or later, I can assure myself that. I'd really miss my friends there...

Anyways, back to school and this week until next, I'll be having major mid-year exams. So nervous because I really don't want my grades to go down again. It really sucks because Brendan's not here, he'd always be pushing me around and making sure I would study and he would always be around to tutor my brother & I in our work. But now he's not here and only coming back from the U.S AFTER our exams in early July. -sigh- So, just to let everyone know that I won't be blogging regularly because of intense exams week. Won't be going online much either. Can't wait to just get over this and be free with blogging again! haha

Back from audition

Came back from audition about 4.45pm. Sooo tired... It was fun and a great experience actually. A lot of unexpected things though. Firstly, my mum drove me there (Shah Alam) and both of us hardly knew how to get there. We only followed directions we found on Google Maps.So it took us about 45 minutes just to get there and find the area. We were driving in circles and seemed to come back to the same road more than two times! haha

But sooner or later we found the area but still couldn't find the venue. Managed to call the organizer after 5 times of trying. He gave us directions and landmarks and finally we found it. I actually brought my electric guitar and my amp (damn I can't wait to get my semi-acoustic!) and it was so tiring to bring because I had to carry my medium-weighted amp and my guitar. We walked up to the 2nd floor and found the door to the place.

The minute the door opened, a little boy around 6 to 9 years old was standing there. He opened the door wider and I soon realized the place was a shoplot apartment! haha I thought it would be a big company with loads of people but it turned out to be just a small apartment big enought to have their own mini studio. It was a family with I think 2 sons. The parents were awesome. Took me into the studio while my mum waited in their living room. With a mic, and amp already set up. I didn't need anything else but my guitar and my voice! LOL (I brought my amp for nothing!!!)

So I played and sing Wonderful Tonight and one of the lullabys I wrote. The organizer who I talked to on the phone, he asked me to sing I'm Yours by Jason Mraz while he played the guitar. I didn't know half the lyrics so I had to hum to it. Anyways, I did well I guess as they offered me to register for their production where they will have events and videos where I'll get to perform and sing. MY DREAMMM!!!!! The only problem is I'm afraid this might get in the way of my SPM so a lot of thinking is needed... :(

Btw, sorry I couldn't get any photos. I was more worried about getting there and how to do the audition... I'll definitely get photos if I go back there maybe next weekend.

An audition & the Bloggers Karnival!

I'll be going for an audition for solo singers today hosted by a talent management company, Runut Bunyi Productions. My audition time will be between 3.30pm & 4pm. I really hope to make it and feel that experience I've always wanted to feel. Imagine if I make it, I could go for performances or record my own songs or at least be a singer! haha Whether I make it or not, at least I'll have the experience and will know what to expect in the future. Spent today like the last weekday of my life... Although I didn't do much today. haha Yeah, today's actually the last weekday of freedom until exams start next week. So annoying because my friends are having their good holiday while my brother & I and all other Stella Maris students have to study for exams which is next week...

Well, enough about exams. Today was sooo tiring and a bit dull but at least I got to go out. Woke up at 11.45am, listened to my band's music to freshen me up. :D Ate breakfast, took my shower... Then ate lunch! haha Chilled for a while, watched tv, then went to Ikano. Kak had to post her package to Indonesia, so we went to the post office there, then went to Popular book store because Dyl had to buy a few stationary. It turned out I had to buy a few to buy too. We spent I think an hour or so in Popular before we went home. Read some books, magazines, etc...

The Thursday I've Been Waiting For

Currently at my friend, Eng Zyan's house having a jam and recording session with Ian. Resting my voice now from successfully recording 3 songs. We'll be putting it on cd and distributing it to friends. But now, we still have a few more songs to record. Can't wait to see people listening to our songs.

We (me, Ian & Eng Zyan) actually called our band Zero 1 Two. We mostly play almost all types of music from rock, sentimental to pop. We had our last two cover song, Pieces by Sum 41 and Time Of Your Life by Green Day. Those two songs are not really on cd yet. Not sure if we're planning to put it on our cd. But I'll post up a few updates here from time to time.

Anyways, about today. Woke up at my grandparents' house at 9am, slept again and woke up at 10. Had my breakfast, showered and left the house at 11.45am for Eng Zyan's house. Got there, we jammed a bit, then went for lunch at the mamak at Plaza Damas. We also visited Mr. Dominic's guitar store which was right next to the mamak. I can honestly say he's a very humble and wise man. The last time I saw him was a few months ago. He's store sells the best guitars I've ever seen and most of them were at very high value ranging from over a thousand bucks. But there were a few guitars that valued below a thousand and I finally found my favorite priced at RM520. Not bad. I loved the touch of the strings! haha

So now we're here playing some songs, almost going for dinner soon. Gonna eat Eng Zyan's best pasta. Well, that's what Ian said.

Morning @ Mid Valley

Went to Mid Valley this morning. Dad dropped me at the bus stop near my house. Then took the metro bus to Mid Valley, 1 hour journey. Public transportation is so easy to get near my house, that's one of the reasons why I love my area.

Anyways, got to Mid Valley, suppose to meet my grandparents and my sis there. Arrived there about 10.45, they weren't there yet. So walked around, went to the arcade to play a game, then to Rock Corner, Pets Wonderland, until 11.30am. They arrived by then, met them at Jusco Supermarket...

Took my sister to Toys R' Us so she could just play her Smiley' Fun game thingy, no idea what's it called. Then we went to the Chicken Rice shop to take out lunch. It was pretty much boring just to wait for the food for 10 minutes or so, so I took some random photos while I could! haha =) Then I helped my grandparents' with their shopping items and put everything in the car and also helped the maid.

The hardest part was getting everything upstairs to my grandparents' apartment floor. Imagine this! I had to carry our lunch (1 heavy bag with the food & 1 bag with the drinks inside), push my granddad's wheelchair & carry a bag of rice! haha I should've gotten my sis to take a picture of me carrying that load. Settled down, ate lunch, played our favorite game Rummikub then here I am, typing this blog...

A Night @ The Curve

I went to The Curve tonight with Dyl & my mum. Had fun actually even though it was just for a while. I actually wanted to go to Cineleisure cinema to give Eveline her birthday present. I actually ran up to the cinema entrance. Success I would say, thank God I managed to successfully call her on her phone before her movie started and gave it to her at the cinema entrance. She & her sister then later came out and offered me tickets to watch the movie with them, but I rightfully & kindly refused because I didn't want to trouble them nor make them feel awkward because they invited Dyl and my mum as well to join them. Of course, Dyl and my mum were at The Curve so I had no time to call them and ask them myself.

Then, walked to the Curve almost out of breath after running. haha! Met up with Dyl and my mum at Echo Park because Dyl wanted to buy a new cap for himself. (followed my style man!) So he bought a new cap after choosing and trying on so many for more than 10-20 mins! Picture of it is below. After buying it, was about to go to the parking lot to go home but we passed Starbucks. Mum offered and asked if we wanted to have a drink, I got on my knees and just said 'YES PLEASE!!!!' haha! So relaxed after taking my first sip out of their new drink 'the ice mocha berry'. So refreshing and sweet! I mean the berry =)

Spent some time at One Utama today with Kak Nah... She wanted to go shopping so I accompanied her. We went by cab from my house, only rm4. I can even just cycle there, less than 20 minutes away.

We ate lunch here. Went into the restaurant about 11.55am. The place was EMPTY! But when a bell rang which meant Mcvalue lunch hour, the whole place was packed and the lines long! haha thank God we arrived there in time to buy our mcvalue lunch!

I was bored walking around since Kak went to shop in Jusco, I went to the supermarket to just view and drool over my favorite chocolates.

Carls Junior, passed by looking at the place so empty. LOL very expensive but I heard it's very nice!

Hmm... always the good smell of rotiboy whenever I pass by this store.

Spent a buck here just to play and take down some guys on Daytona racing. Owned them by 1 to 3. Yes, I got 1st place... Not surprised! haha Didn't bother to play more than a buck, wasting cash when you can play for rm4 at the cyber cafe for an hour eventhough it's stilll expensive.

That's pretty much my day... Oh yeah, not forgetting hanging out with Amanda and not surprised to see Kathleen there too. haha I met Amanda there after lunch at the new wing when she was buying movie tickets. She was waiting for her guy friend so just accompanied her everywhere until he arrived, late. LOL We walked around one utama just talking and went to MPH where Kathleen appeared with her guy friends.

Eventually, I went home after buying a mag and when Kak finished her shopping. Took the bus home, walked a mile from the Shell station near my house and just thew myself on the bed after getting home.

Camera problem

My shared camera had a problem since yesterday. So I wasn't able to take pictures of a wedding I went to in the morning and at night.

First thing's first, explanation for the camera problem. The camera had a problem with the memory card, so there was no possible way to take pictures with the camera. So we had to use my mum's phone but it was only 3.2 mpixels so no use there. So got it reformatted this evening and now it's working well.

The wedding? My mum's ex-collegues' from work, I use to call them 'koko William' (haha) & 'cece Jessica'. Now they're happily married! Congratulations to them! They got married at the beach side at the Mines Beach & Spa resort. Their wedding dinner which was held the same day yesterday at Jaya 33, the Oriental Restaurant. Chinese cuisine btw. Delicious food! It really sucked that I couldn't take any pictures and post it on my blog. Sorry...

Melissa Campbell & Taylor Swift

The two girls I admire the most and I know that I can never be close to them.. haha just kidding! Yeah, Melissa Campbell & Taylor Swift.

Melissa Campbell, whom I met a few days ago at KDU college. She really inspired me because although she's only 18 and currently studying in college. She still has the time to go into the studio to do her acting career. She's currently an actress in Ghost, a show on 8tv. Another thing is, she's so pretty! haha especially in person =)

Taylor Swift, really sweet-looking and pretty! If you saw her on her music video & starring in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigations, she's soooooooooo pretty! Imagine meeting her in person! haha Her famous singles, Love Story & Tear Drops On My Guitar from her album 'Fearless' has top the charts in the U.S.

What more can I say? Actually nothing... So.. yeah. Melissa Campbell, I've met her already and still waiting for the chance to meet her again. And Taylor Swift, hopefully I'll meet her soon maybe in a few years time.

IT Session @ KDU

Learned about web design in this session which was hosted by Mr. David Tann. He's blog is in my "hot blogs" section.

I didn't get any photos as I was busy paying attention to every detail Mr. David mentioned. It was certainly a classroom experience! haha The computer lab was facinating with high speed internet and a big number of computers in one lab. I was told that there were more than 5 computer labs in KDU. Imagine how many computers are turned on and how much the electricity bill would cost for the people in charge at KDU. LOL

Anyways, I got into class half an hour late as I woke up late! haha Mr. David was showing everybody (less than10 people came I think) certain examples of web design and great websites. Surprisingly I really paid attention because I rarely do in most classes. He even checked out my blog in front of the whole class as an example. My blog became an 'example'! LOL The class finished around 12pm, met a new friend again, and left about 12.30pm when my mum picked me up.

Honestly I can say, I miss KDU college already. Made a few friends there, miss the sessions and I liked the experience. Hopefully I'll be back next year for college or sooner.

A Day With Sham from Mix Fm

Yes, spent a day (just less than 2 hours) with Sham at KDU. I mean, spent a day listening to him talking about Mass Comm. It was really something to learn about, he talked about his experience and how he got into broadcasting.

The session was from 11am to 1pm. Managed to get my dad to send me to KDU. Arrived at 10.30am, waited until session started then headed with Nick & a student helper (didn't get her name) to the lecture hall. Sham came into the lecture hall a few minutes late and got on a platform, and started his speech.

He mainly talked about what Mass Comm. is about. He took the Mass Comm course because he thought there would be 'hot girls' in the class! haha So he said. He spent 3 years in KDU (2 years mass comm diploma, 1 year degree) and 1 year in Murdoch University in Australia. He then came back to Malaysia and joined the Mix fm roadrunners for a year & a half. Then he got a job from his boss to be a Mix fm announcer. (how lucky!!!) haha so yeah, that's what I manage to get.

2nd Day of KDU visit

Radio & Sound. The name of today's session. From 11-1pm.
Had a special session in the recording studio with a philippino broadcaster, didn't catch his name though. He came in a bit late around 11.30pm because he said he wasn't informed about this session, that was the only faulty part of the session, but the rest was alright. I went in a group so... He basically introduced us to broadcasting, what to expect, what broadcasting can offer and other details as well. We managed to ask him a few questions and humour entered the studio as other students randomly asked useless questions that had nothing to do with broadcasting and radio. LOL

To comment it, it was pretty fun! Managed to meet a new friend too, and saw Nick again also. Don't know what to expect tomorrow but hopefully to expect better.

Sorry I couldn't get more photos, was really occupied with listening to the broadcaster and talking to my new friend...

Meeting Melissa Campbell @ KDU College

Visited KDU College today. Had a session there from 11am to 12pm to meet Melissa Campbell. The only problem I had to go through was extra class all the way at school in KL. But I made it in time for the session, the forum actually.

Extra class was from 8am to 10am. Managed to leave school about 10.10am, arrived at lrt station about 10.30am. Took the train to Tmn Bhg where my mum picked me up to send me to KDU. Changed and cleaned myself a bit in the car then was got off the car at the entrance. LOL arrived at 11am sharp! But had to go through registration counter and only got to the room about 11.10am. Anyways, saw Melissa sitting in front and I was told to sit about 3 seats away from the front seat where she was sitting on the left. There were only a few people there, I was shocked at the staggering amount of people, there were only less than 7! But then at about 11.20am, other students started entering the room and filled the whole room until there weren't many seats left. The host who sat next to Melissa, introduced her, asked her questions on behalf of the audience and also gave us more information about her. She answered questions like where she's planning to study after college, where she studied for high school, where she was born and her pets.
Here's what I managed to get:
Melissa Campbell, studies Mass comm. in KDU college
She's planning to go for performing arts after KDU most probably in UK.
She studied in Sri KDU during high school from form 1-5.
She was born in Australia.
She's an animal lover, has 2 cats & 2 turtles.

Wished I could've gotten more info... She's so pretty btw especially in person!

After the session, managed to get a tour from Nick. He's an ex-student of KDU and currently works there. He came to my school for a talk during Career week a few weeks ago. Here are some pictures of the facilities of KDU college.

I call this one the KDU college food court! I should've taken more photos inside. It was like a big food courts you find at shopping malls.

There were other facilities I went to see but forgot to take a photo of it. Maybe I was too occupied looking at it! haha
